Weekly Hatha Yoga Timetable - 2020


In the face of concerns over the spread of Covid-19 as our borders are opened up Saturday 14th November, we urge you to take good care of yourself and protect the safety of others. We ask students to keep a respectable distance from each other and practise good hygiene.


Protocols in place will continue and we ask that there be no hugging of our Teachers and officials at the Ashram.

Some precautions to keep the Centre clean, sanitised and safe—including surfaces, floors, mats and bathrooms, we request:

  • If you have flu like symptoms or have been overseas or in contact with someone who is contagious, please stay home as per Government recommendations.


When attending classes, we kindly ask you:

  • Bring your own personal mat and blanket

  • If you need to cough, cough into a tissue, or your T-Shirt.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly!

Hatha Yoga underpins each of our classes.

The movements, breathing and mindfulness of Hatha Yoga are long recognised to reduce the impacts of stress and improve one's physical and mental well-being. An aspect of Yoga that is a tremendous aid to inspire the best in you in today’s world, so busy with stress and strain.

Yoga is a progressive practice and the term is planned for each week to build on the skills learned from the previous week. Each class runs for 90 mins.



For well being and general health, we offer our yogic community and those who may otherwise miss out for whatever reason free Beginners yoga classes. 

Would you or someone you know like to do Yoga but for whatever reason have not had the opportunity? Someone who is recovering from an injury, wanting to start a fitness routine or low-income earners interested in yoga.


Join as a "Friend of the I.Y.A." for only $60 and receive great discounts throughout the year. Membership is from 1st Jan to 31st Dec.

As a Not-for-Profit organisation we do our best to provide affordable fees across the board for hatha yoga classes. Our Ashram programmes are offered to the community by donations. From time to time, rate increases become necessary where costs impact the viability of offering on-going programmes.

Yoga Classes - Info


  • Beginners: Students with no previous experience are welcome in these classes

  • Beginners/Continuing: We recommend students take at least 4 months of Beginners classes

  • General:  6 months to 1 year's regular Yoga Experience

  • Intermediate: More than 1 year's Yoga Experience ( 12 months of current continuous practice )                                                          

  • Advanced: More than 2 year's Yoga Experience

  • All classes run for 1.5 hours

  • Wear loose comfortable clothing, leave your shoes at the door

  • Yoga mats, blankets and all equipment provided

  • You are welcome to attend any class on a casual basis

  • Our yoga classes run on Public Holidays

  • CLASSES START ON TIME. Please be punctual.
