Karma Yoga is one of the five pathways of Yoga described in the Vedic tradition.

The word "Karma" means action, whether performed consciously or unconsciously.

Karma Yoga is an action performed with meditative awareness or yoga of dynamic meditation.

In Karma Yoga what is important is the frame of mind or the attitude the actions are performed with.

Excellence in undertakings, equanimity of outlook, feeling of unity with all, concern for the welfare of all others, balance state of mind in all circumstances, renouncing the results of actions, attitude of "I am not the doer, but an instrument of action", appropriateness of thought, word, action form the Yamas and Niyamas of Karma Yoga".

Karma Yoga is an essential part of your Ashram stay at Sivananda Ashram Beacon Yoga Centre.

We follow the way of Integral Yoga which includes Jnana (the yoga of right knowledge) Bhakti (the yoga of devotion) Karma (the yoga of selfless service) Hatha (the yoga of the body and breath) and Raja(meditation).
