Practising yoga since 1983 and inspired by some truly wonderful teachers, James completed his initial yoga teaching certification under Kale Leaf of The Fremantle Yoga Centre in 1993 and is registered at the highest level with Yoga Australia.

Mostly during the 1990’s he practiced under Iyengar inspired teachers, and also during that period, experimented with the Ashtanga Vinyasa method.

Around 2010 he undertook a number of retreats with both, Emil Wendel and Clive Sheridan. Later he attended 5 x 100hr pranayama focused trainings with Kaivalyadham’s O.P. Tiwari and Dr Paul Dallaghan. And further on, attended 2 silent retreats with Hridaya Yoga’s Sahajananda in Mexico and France.

Throughout this entire time he has consistently maintained a dedicated home practice remaining a faithful student with a keen interest in using Hatha yoga techniques as a means to Self-knowledge.

He has taught more than 10 yoga retreats in India, Greece, Thailand and Mexico and is also a practising Homoeopath since 1992.

In the classes that he teaches he is committed to including elements of: Asana, Pranayama and Dharana.

He is a lover of Kirtan and music, gardens and nature and food and natural healing modalities.
