Swami Vishveshananda has been invited to Sivananda Ashram Beacon Yoga Centre regularly for Yoga and Self-Knowledge classes since 2008.   Swami Vishveshananda returns to the Beacon Yoga Centre for another two months to conduct classes on Yoga and Self-knowledge, Meditation and Chanting. Swamiji is well versed in the teaching of Sanskrit and Kirtan.

Swami Vishveshananda is a senior resident teacher at the Uthandi Ashram of the Foundation for Self Knowledge. He is also the Trustee, Admin of Akshar Educational Trust which runs Educational institutions in the Indian states of Tamilnadu and Odisha.

His considerable dedication, experience and multi-disciplinary expertise contributes to his remarkable capacity to disperse the wisdom of Self knowledge across a culturally diverse audience with exceptional success.

Swamiji brings to the Self Knowledge Foundation with precise accuracy, inspiring enthusiasm and infectious humour, a deep knowledge of Vedanta, Sanskrit, Asana, Pranayama and Vedic chanting. He has a degree in Psychology and a background in Communication, Electronics and can speak fluently six different Indian languages.

At the age of 21, Swami Vishveshananda joined the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, under the direction of Swami Vishnu Devananda a direct disciple of Swami Sivananda. There he engaged in karma yoga, taught and studied to obtain his teachers certification until 1992. For several years, he balanced yogic life with employment. He worked as a Communications Officer in the Merchant Navy and later, as a Marine Electronics Lecturer in Pondicherry.

Swami Vishveshananda studied the ancient scriptures not only under the guidance of his guru Swami Suddhananda but also the world renowned Teacher of Vedanta, Swami Dayananda Saraswati of Coimbatore for five years.

Since completion of this training in 1997, Swamiji has himself become an 'Ace' at driving the wide, wonderful motorways of human existence, exploring and serving in many diverse socio-economic conditions. Swami Vishveshananda travelled to Britain in 1999 to teach for three years in Birmingham as part of a multi faith chaplaincy. During this time Swamiji counselled and taught amongst the most disadvantaged sector of the Tipton community with youth at risk, prisoners and mentally ill hospital residents apart from teaching Yoga and Self-knowledge to the youth at Sri Venkateswara Balaji Temple of the UK.

Caroline has been a student of Diane Long’s for over 20 years and in her own special way continues to share the legacy of Vanda Scaravelli’s approach to yoga.

With a deep sense of curiosity and exploration Caroline’s intention is to always be the student as well as the teacher discovering as much from her students journey as they do from her teachings from the unique and creative place of beginning again and again …

“ Every day my practice invites me to discover a new mystery in my body, we hold a bountiful treasure within us, as my daily practice deepens this treasure enriches my life and the teaching allows me to share this with others, it is a great privilege”

During the workshops we will explore the relationship between rest, gravity and our true core, the spine. Developing a deep kinship, as this unfolds one begins to see how the body and the breaths intelligence informs our experience of Self.
