My yoga teacher mum first Introduced me to yoga as a teenager, and I have been practising Yoga at the Sivananda Ashram for over 30 years.

Yoga has been my steady companion through the busyness of work and family life. It has helped me find balance, stay grounded, and create space for a quieter mind.

​

Completing my Hatha Yoga Teacher Training felt like the next natural step, because I wanted to share the many benefits from practicing Yoga – not just the physical benefits, but also the deep sense of calm and clarity that comes from pranayama and meditation.

​

My career as a maternal and child health nurse educator is both challenging, and complex. I use a trauma-informed approach, working professionally, inclusively, and in partnership with families. I aim to bring this same perspective of care and awareness to the yoga mat when I teach.

​

My Intention Is for the students to feel safe, held, and nurtured during the class. I also like to guide students toward simple, accessible ideas and techniques they can take with them, so their practice can continue beyond the class. As a nurse I am also able to support students with modifications and strategies if they are holding any injuries or illness

​

That I still get nervous before I teach! And that Shavasana Is the hardest (but most beneficial) posture for me … _hard to calm my busy brain!
