yoga teacher profile
liz pippet

I first became interested in yoga in my teens and began teaching myself from a book I had discovered whilst stranded in Singapore with my parents.

Following my schooling I embarked on the journey of becoming an Occupational Therapist and at this time could see the benefits that yoga has to offer so many in need. I  did my final paper on Yoga in Mental health settings. This sparked a lifelong journey delving into the practice of yoga.
Working as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of settings has shaped the way I approach Yoga in many ways.

For the last decade of my career as a Therapist I worked as the Extra Lesson Teacher at the Steiner school in Bibra Lake. This involved further study and a postgraduate Training in Extra Lesson, the anthroposophical way of working with children with Learning Difficulties.

It was at the age of 51  I decided that it was time to do a yoga teacher training to deepen my knowledge and understanding. I completed the Friends in Yoga Teacher training course. A 500 hour training.

The following year I went to study with Donna Farhi in New Zealand and did her Advanced Yoga Teacher training, which changed my practice profoundly.

I continue to deepen my knowledge on a regular basis and most recently completed the Leslie Kaminoff Yoga Anatomy principles online training. A nine month course.

I love yoga, love and teach Tai chi, enjoy walking,  the beach, and time in nature.
