yoga teacher profile
patricia roux
Patricia first stepped onto a yoga mat in 2004 while working as a humanitarian aid worker in Northern India. What began as a quiet pull toward yoga became a lifelong path of exploration, taking her deeper into the practice across Europe, Asia and Australia.
With over two decades of personal practice and teaching since 2008, her approach is informed by extensive study in yoga, meditation, Buddhist philosophy and psychology, as well as an enduring curiosity about the relationship between body, mind and wellbeing.
A certified Open Floor movement practice teacher, Patricia also draws upon years of practice in conscious movement and diverse somatic modalities, bringing a grounded appreciation for embodied mindfulness and the wisdom of the body. These influences, alongside contemplative traditions, continue to shape her work today.
While she teaches a range of practices, Patricia is particularly drawn to Yin Yoga as a pathway into stillness, presence and deep listening. Her classes invite students to slow down, soften habitual patterns, and cultivate a more intimate relationship with themselves. Blending thoughtful guidance with an intuitive teaching style, she creates a welcoming space for exploration, reflection and restoration —supporting students to reconnect with what matters most beneath the noise of everyday life.
Outside of teaching, she values the simple rhythms of life—time with her family, walks in nature, music and movement, a good cup of tea, and the gentle pause of a daytime rest.
