Dear Friends
Om Namah Sivayah
We at IYA will always remain grateful for the stability, steady growth and focus on serving others through offerings of yoga practices from a variety of disciplines both in the Yoga hall as well as the Residential wing during the last several years when both Sobha and then Ruth served as the Chair. They will be hard acts to follow but with both staying on the Board to guide the new team I am sure we will continue to maintain the momentum.
The spirit of yoga pervades throughout the Ashram premises or perhaps it has always been here but, in the peace and quiet that has ensued through their leadership we have come to feel it and be inspired by it.
It was, therefore, such a pleasure to see Sobha becoming the Patron of the Ashram and IYA. Besides her recent and past contributions, Sobha also brings to us the blessings of Swami Venkatesananda flowing in a continuous stream in the age-old Guru-disciple tradition.
It was so wonderful and inspirational to share an evening meal with Yoga teachers in the Ashram early this month. They remain at the forefront of our contact with the outside world. Our visitors and yoga students see this place through the offerings of their art, love and dedication. At the dinner, I managed to catch a glimpse of this spirit of Yogic dedication. We at IYA will always be indebted to them.
Finally, it is my privilege to invite you on behalf of IYA to attend Summer School from 7th to 11th January. Yoga, Tibetan healing meditation, Nada meditation, self-healing and Ayurveda healing should provide attendees an opportunity to tune in with their own Being.
Whilst here you will also be able to enjoy the cool shade of the newly paved sitting area in the southeast of the Ashram grounds.
Merry Christmas and best wishes to you all for the New Year
